Having set its goal of procuring 100% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2050, Konica Minolta now announces that two further companies completely use eco-electricity from January 2020 onwards. This concerns all locations in Austria, and one production site in Jiangsu province in China, producing mainly multi-functional peripherals (MFPs) and digital printing systems.
Underlining our commitment to a sustainable future, Konica Minolta joined RE100 in February 2019, a global leadership initiative bringing together influential businesses committed to sourcing 100% renewable power for their global operations by 2050.
This is in line with Konica’s approach to contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, such as combatting climate change. Besides all locations in Austria and the production site in Jiangsu province in China, the European headquarters in Langenhagen, all locations in the UK, and one production site in Guangdong province in China also use 100% of their electricity from renewable resources. Konica Minolta Business Technologies Co., Ltd. was also certified as a Clean Production Company by Wuxi City in 2017, making the company a leader in environmental stewardship in China.
In addition to this, we are continuing ‘The Clean Planet Program’ that is Konica Minolta’s way of recognising its responsibility towards the environment. From comprehensive environmental management systems to the energy and resources our products use, it ensures everything we do has an awareness for the well-being of the planet.
You too can play a valuable role in preserving the environment by sending us your used genuine toner cartridges. The cartridges are recycled efficiently and cleanly, preserving precious resources. What is more, returning the cartridges is quick, easy and completely free.
We appreciate the contribution made by every individual, and by every hard working company, so thank you for your ongoing and willing support. The reward is in knowing that together, we’re making a difference to the environment
